When recognition comes unexpectedly!

It is a beautiful day when some of your efforts get noticed. Moreover, when a very public voice recognises you by name and profession, by what you are and what you’ve done.

That happened to me a couple of days ago. As a member of the Resolution Institute Inc (RI), I was given an opportunity to say a few words about myself, my life so far, pass some messages to new practitioners, etc. As the article went out in the 21 January 2022 Newsletter, the CEO of the RI, Amber Williams, wrote to me to pass on a message from one of the most celebrated High Court of Australia Justices, Justice Michael KIRBY. He wrote to Amber:

“Dear Amber,

 Congratulations on the life story of Vesna Cvjeticanin.  This is an inspiring story and should encourage more of the same.

HLM of Resolution Institute”.

Should I say how excited and humbled I was to receive this? What an honour! Would I ever think that a HCofA Justice will ever know of my name…?

That’s why we work hard, consistently, to the best of our abilities, honestly and ethically. Recognitions can come from any angle and - when it comes - one can quietly bask in it. Or, on their social platforms accounts :).
